Fine spectacle frames in a modern design and made from excellent materials – that is the hallmark of Charmant, one of the world’s largest eyeglass manufacturers. In 1987, the Japanese based company established a subsidiary in Karlsfeld near Munich, Germany from where they direct the German, Benelux, Danish, Swedish and Austrian distribution as well as Italy, which became part of the organisation in 2006.
The Charmant subsidiary now sells well over half a million frames a year in Europe, a task for which the Karlsfelder headquarter must be well equipped. And with an iDOC analysis and the resulting systematic deployment of Konica Minolta print and copier systems, they are certain of putting their full office potential to good use.
In a hospital environment, efficient working conditions are paramount. Only when all technical systems are fully functional can doctors and nurses concentrate on their true profession: treating and caring for their patients.
The Nuremberg Regional Hospital has just such a highly functional hospital: technically well equipped not only in the care of patients but also in their organisation and administration. And to this aim they appointed Konica Minolta help them create an optimum system infrastructure for their document output.
Ute Zachäus of Sasol Germany GmbH set her aims high when she declared that synergy and unification were the goal of the new project for the company’s document workflow. As the system analyst for Sasol Germany, with office headquarters in Hamburg, she is responsible for the entire coordination of the company’s paper workflow: copying, printing and faxing.
And, as a result of a comprehensive internal analysis of the actual/target comparison and a test phase with several manufacturers, Sasol Germany opted for the Konica Minolta iDOC solution.
It’s not unusual to hear passers-by speaking foreign languages in Hanover’s city centre, after all it is home to one of the largest international exhibitions in the world. Residents are surprised however, when they turn to see a group of children from many different countries conversing freely in English.
These children speak English all day, as they are the pupils of the International School Hanover Region: one in a worldwide network of international schools. The international school has approximately 360 pupils and with the exception of German and Japanese lessons, the pupils speak only English during classes.
The school offers a wide curriculum and enrols children from kindergarten age right up to their qualification for higher education. In fact, most of the pupils do not usually stay that length of time in Hanover as their parents are often here for professional reasons. Moving from one country to another can make education difficult and parents wishing to give their children an excellent start often choose the international school.
