eAIDC
"Standard" AIDC adjusts the density of the solid colors (Dmax of C, M, Y, K) Konica Minolta's eAIDC (enhanced Automatic Image Density Control) - adjusts the density of halftoned colors
- eAIDC measures 14 patches for each color
- The AIM curve is a gamma of 1.4 (predefined, optimum curve).
- A compensation curve is created with the measurement data and the aim curve
- The compensation curve is loaded into the privatesetcolortransfer function for PostScript and is set using facilities of the CMS for PCL
- For PCL, only C,M,Y are compensated since PCL only uses these three planes
